Welcome!
Skin care has always been important to me. Since I was a teenager, I was reminded that our skin was something to be taken care of. Not a day has gone by since my younger years where I have not at least applied moisturizer (the good and the bad). As I get closer to another milestone birthday, I am often flattered when people guess my age to be 10-15 years younger than my actual age. I guess I’ve made smart decisions about my skin so far, and I hope to continue this trend in the future.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to fight the aging process, in fact I welcome it, but I know I can manage it better. We all can. As Dolly Parton said, “It takes a lot of money to look this cheap.” It can also take a little work, and the older I get the more I look for ways to manage the aging process a little better.
What is the purpose of the post? Late in 2015, I started to explore different options for starting my own business. I was working for a leading nonprofit agency at the time, and while I loved the work, the pay was never good. I used to justify my salary by telling friends and family that you “worked for a nonprofit for love, not for the money.” While I was reviewing some opportunities, a couple of friends had been asking me about joining them in their business with Rodan+Fields. After doing some research I found they were a “network marketing” (i.e. direct sales) business, and as I’d had some history with “those kinds of businesses” before, I declined to give it much more thought.
Then one of these friends asked me to attend a business presentation, not to join, but to learn more about the company so that I could help her with the company’s launch into Australia. No harm in that I thought. As I sat there and listened to each speaker talk about the products, and the company and the recognition that was given to consultants, I learned that the network marketing, or direct sales (or relationship marketing) had changed a great deal. I also came to this realization that I could do this. And I asked myself, why wouldn’t I take the opportunity to build my own successful business. I was intrigued, so I wanted to learn more.
And I did. I reviewed their marketing strategy, their income disclosure statements, looked to see if they were animal friendly, and what it took to earn promotions and commissions. I learned about the company, and the science involved with their products, and I realized that not only could this be the right business opportunity for me, I had found the right partner for my skin.
I started my journey on December 1, 2015, and I’ve been amazed at the dedicated support from not only Rodan+Fields, but from my team and other consultants. I’ve discovered that every consultant has the support of many, and I’ve seen my business grow since that first day because of that support. I’m extremely excited that Rodan+Fields will be launching in Australia – my home country – in 2016/2017, and I just know that this will be a phenomenal opportunity when it opens for business, and I hope will provide some great business connections for me to continue my adventure.
My skin is also in the best shape it has been in a very long time. Have I stopped the aging process? No, but I’ve slowed the signs of aging down and nothing pleases me more to see the look on people’s faces when they get my age wrong. In today’s society, our looks do matter with everything we do, and Rodan+Fields is helping me manage that part of my life very easily.
If my story resonates with you in any way, connect with me, and I can share more information with you and let you decide if Rodan+Fields can provide a solution for you.
